This place is too noisy. More of a playground rather than a libraryz
This library is ideal for borrowing books and reading them at home, because there are usually small children like infants playing and using the toys loudly, which is why you should read them at home. otherwise there are fun craft activities in the school holidays for children, and YES! it isn't a really ideal place for studying and isn't a good place for peace and quiet, overall I think this library is a good place for children NOT students who are studying!
Great community space! I know some arent happy with the noise but as a parent of a 2.5yr old daughter its a great place for my daughter to learn to interact with others and responsibilities. We regularly borrow books and she absolutely loves it. We teach her to treat them with care as they arent hers and if she looks after them she can get more. As a treat we also occasionally borrow dvds from there too. We love the librarians and the work they do to make us feel welcome and stimulating activities they have for the kids. This includes story time, action songs and colouring in. As a regular we will see you again soon
This place is brand new, but way to noisy. The caf on the top level is so noisy it echoes around the building. There should also be individual study desks rather than communal desks.
This rating is simply based on the fact they call it a library. If they took the word library away I would give it a higher rating. It's not a library, it's Grand Central Station. I get it, it's modern, but if you want quiet study, or heaven forbid you want to actually read, forget about it. Kids running around screaming, hey I'm all for kids areas, but the design of the building has it right where the sound carries around the entire space. All the way to the cafe upstairs which also delights the building with incessant noise. I sat on a table in the 'library' and someone came and sat near to me and started munching away on a plate of dinner, cutlery banging away. Then there's the apparent 'quiet' area, a small space right where the sound carries from the cafe. There are very few study rooms. Great for free Wifi, not so enticing for study, research or reading for pleasure.
